Pentax® Technologies introduces the Pentax DSmobile™ 600 USB, a portable scanner designed to go hand in hand with your portable computing solution while providing the features and capabilities expected from a desktop scanner.

This powerful, compact, lightweight 600-dpi color scanner is combined with dynamic software to provide exceptional quality scanning and easy management of documents and photos. The DSmobile 600 is a direct replacement for the DSmobile USB but provides higher resolution, high speed USB 2.0 interface, and additional software that will enhance and simplify your scanning needs.

• Small, compact design – Measuring 1.5" in height, 2.0" in depth, 11" in length and weighing only 12.2 ounces, the DSmobile 600 scanner will be your personal color scanner for high-quality images and documents in the office or on the road.
• No job is too small or too large –- The DSmobile 600 provides the versatility to scan media from business card size to 8.5 x 14" paper size.
• Just add a PC – The unique USB power/data interface draws power directly from the PC and comes with a detachable USB cable.
• High performance with low power consumption –The DSmobile 600 connects to a high-speed USB 2.0 interface yet only consumes only 0.2W of power when in standby mode and a maximum of 2.0W of power when scanning.
• Just a touch away from scanning –- one touch of the button on the on the DSmobile 600 will launch your choice of compatible scanning programs. Make a preferred scanning program your default and that one touch will initiate that program.
• The DSmobile 600 is not just a scanner – it is a powerful scanning package – The Pentax DSmobile scanner comes with everything you need to scan, straight out of the box.

Included Software:

• DSmobileSCAN – this programs allows scanned documents to be automatically saved as Adobe® Acrobat® format files. An added feature to this software is the ability to scan with just two touches of the DSmobile scanner button – one touch will initiate the program and another touch will initiate the scan of the document.
• PageManager® Version 7 – An updated version of the popular software used with the DSmobile USB, this software allows a user to scan and organize digitized files with the ability to view, edit, send and save files in many formats.
• TWAIN – this driver allows a user to control all scanner details and settings. A user will have an array of scanning applications to choose from because TWAIN is compatible with any application that uses TWAIN device input.
