Galileo’s monthly price is about half as much as terrestrial
T1 or fractional T1 data line rates. Galileo prices when compared
with other satellite providers may have you re-think your existing
satellite contract or bid. Galileo monthly rates start at 139
a month for 400Kbps down and 100 to 120Kbps up. There are several Galileo monthly plans to choose from.

The Galileo Class Satellite (AMC-4) has an extremely large

The Galileo Satellite Dish
The Galileo VSAT Technology Satellite Dish is normally a
1.2 meter dish with a 2 watt transmitter. Smaller dishes are
available, although premium monthly plans are not available
for these dishes.
Galileo Gateway
The Galileo Gateway (a 1RU rackmount box shown above) is
the only indoor equipment needed for the system. It contains
both the satellite modems (send-and-receive) as well as a
web based gateway that can connect to your network router.
VSAT Satellite Technology
VSAT stands for "Very Small Aperture Terminal",
which simply means a smaller satellite dish (1.2 square meters)
is transmitting with normally under a 4 Watt transmitter.
The Galileo Service is Satellite VSAT compliant for VSAT networks,
VSAT VPN, and VSAT VOIP.
Additional Galileo Services
A Service Level Agreement - SLA
For those that purchase the Galileo Service Level Agreement,
Ground Control will guarantee your speeds and your service
connection from fault or Ground Control will refund a portion
of your monthly expenses.
A Public IP
A publicly routable static IP address is available with
every Galileo account. Additional IP addresses are available
for an additional cost.
1-2-3 Gigabyte Transfer Allowance
Don't be confused by what this means. Your service will
never be shut off if you reach the Transfer Allowance of
your selected monthly service. Once you reach the transfer
allowance, your connection speed is shared and normally
slows to about 70% of the service speed, and you always
have the option of purchasing a higher transfer allowance.
Also, If you purchase a Guaranteed Service Level Agreement
with Ground Control, your speeds are guaranteed up to the
transfer allowance limit.
